The Peaks

About the Peaks Program
The Peaks is a transformative mentoring program for young men who aspire to be leaders in their families, work, and community life. It helps them grow in wisdom, responsibility, toughness, and self-mastery. Partnering with families who are committed to their son’s growth, The Peaks prepares men for a wholehearted life of service.
Program commitment
Monthly seminars, including dinner and guest speakers.

Quarterly participation in Bowmont-organized service and leadership opportunities

Trailhead Series for young men in grades 8 and 9
Students are encouraged to face challenges in middle school and beyond as opportunities to develop their character today. Topics include character and maturity, self-knowledge, being a gentleman with women, cultural development, deep and lasting friendships, a life of service, and making the most of school.
Schedule
On the second Tuesday of each month, participants come for dinner at 6 p.m. and attend a get-together featuring a speaker.

Switchback Series for young men in grades 10, 11, and 12
High school is a key stage to discern personal aptitudes and prepare for responsibility in society. This seminar focuses on professional and character development, helping participants learn to embrace challenges as students in preparation for professional life. Sessions include talks on virtue and presentations by leading professionals, highlighting their work and what high school students can do to prepare for a career in their field.
Schedule
On the fourth Tuesday of each month, participants arrive for a virtue talk at 5:40 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. and attend a get-together featuring a speaker afterwards.

Mentoring
Each student is paired with a dedicated mentor who supports them in drawing lessons from the seminars and setting practical goals. Mentoring sessions take place at Bowmont. Alternative arrangements by phone or video call are available when this is not feasible.
